Is your food making you fat?
Have you heard of OBESOGENS?
Obesogens are chemicals that can disrupt the body's hormonal balance and metabolism, promoting weight gain and obesity. Exposure to obesogens can begin in the womb and may even affect future generations. Some obesogens are found in:
* Certain plastics 🧋🥛
* Pesticides 🥬🍎
* Food additives 🥓🍟
This is why reading labels is SO IMPORTANT! When you see a bunch of chemical compounds on the nutrition label of your food, you better believe there are obesogens in that food.
Obesogens are found in a variety of everyday products, including:
* Food packaging: Some chemicals used in food packaging, such as bisphenol A (BPA) and phthalates, can leach into food and drinks.
* Personal care products: Certain ingredients in cosmetics, lotions, and shampoos may also be obesogenic.
* Pesticides: These chemicals used in agriculture can leave residues on fruits and vegetables.
* Contaminated water: Industrial pollutants and runoff from agricultural lands can sometimes contaminate water sources with obesogens.
When your body comes in contact with that obesogen, it starts to change your body’s chemistry and metabolism. The more you are exposed, the quicker the change happens. At a certain point, the instant you have that food, it stores as a toxin in your fat cell and increases your fat cells. Processed foods then are immediately storing in your body as fat each time you eat them. So not only are you getting no nutritional value from those potato chips or cookies or frozen pizza, but each time you eat it, your body creates and stores more fat cells that then crave that toxin MORE!
Getting rid of those toxins from your body is more crucial now than ever. Eating whole fruits and vegetables to flood your body with nutrients that help to detox is a great start!
Also implementing a weekly 24 hr fast, monthly 36 or 48 hr fast and 72 hr fast once to 3 times per year to encourage the body to release toxins and repair itself is a crucial step to keeping our bodies functioning at a high level, and ridding the body of DIS-EASE.
