Here are some packing tips for these active vacation spots, keeping in mind the active nature of these trips:
General Packing Tips:
Pack light: Aim to bring only what you absolutely need. Active vacations often involve a lot of movement, and a heavy backpack or suitcase will slow you down.
Layers are key: Be prepared for varying weather conditions. Pack quick-drying, breathable clothing for hot and humid conditions, and pack insulating layers for cooler temperatures or higher altitudes.
Durable and comfortable shoes: Pack shoes appropriate for your chosen activities. Hiking boots for trails, sandals or water shoes for water sports, and sturdy sneakers for general exploration.
Quick-dry clothing: Look for moisture-wicking fabrics like polyester or merino wool. These materials will dry quickly after sweating or getting wet.
Multi-purpose clothing: Pack clothes that can be mixed and matched to create multiple outfits. This will help you reduce the amount of clothing you need to bring.
EM July Health Tip For Staying Trim: Focus on Water and Protein!
Drinking plenty of water and eating plenty of protein helps you feel full, reducing calorie intake throughout the day. Water also aids digestion and flushes out toxins. Aim for half to full body weight in ounces daily, and adjust based on your activity level and climate.
Here are some fruits and vegetables with a high water content that can help you stay hydrated during the hot summer months:
