How Setting Goals Ties Into Happiness
Setting goals can greatly contribute to happiness in several ways:
Sense of Purpose: 🎯 When you have clear goals, you have a sense of direction and purpose in life. This gives your actions meaning and helps you feel like you're working towards something important.
Motivation: 💪 Goals provide motivation to take action and make progress. The process of striving towards a goal can be fulfilling and satisfying, especially when you see yourself making progress and overcoming obstacles.
Accomplishment: 🏆 Achieving goals, whether big or small, provides a sense of accomplishment and boosts self-esteem. This sense of achievement can lead to increased happiness and fulfillment.
Focus: 🕰️ Setting goals helps you focus your time, energy, and resources on activities that are aligned with your priorities. This reduces distractions and enhances productivity, leading to a greater sense of satisfaction and well-being.
Adaptability: 🔄 Setting goals requires you to assess your current situation, identify potential obstacles, and develop strategies to overcome them. This process builds resilience and adaptability, which are important skills for navigating life's challenges and setbacks.
Personal Growth: 🌱 Working towards goals often involves stepping out of your comfort zone, learning new skills, and expanding your capabilities. This continuous growth and development contribute to a sense of progress and satisfaction, leading to greater happiness in the long run.
Control: 🎮 Setting goals gives you a sense of control over your life. Even if you can't control external circumstances, you can control your response and actions, which can empower you to create positive change and improve your overall well-being.
Ultimately, setting and striving towards meaningful goals can enhance various aspects of your life and contribute to a greater sense of happiness and fulfillment.
Best protein by blood type!
Did you know that your blood type could affect which protein source your body metabolizes better?
🥩O Blood Types: O blood types are naturally more acidic, so their stomachs and muscles are designed to break down and use red meat better than other protein sources.
🍗A Blood Types: A blood types have less acid, so the white meats are better for their bodies. EX: Turkey and Chicken.
🍣🍳B Blood Types: B blood types can handle red meat better than A blood types, but their optimal protein source is fish and eggs.
🍗🍣AB Blood Types: AB blood types share the tendencies of both A and B so turkey and fish are the preferred protein source.
🍣Global tip: fish is a great protein option for all blood types!
Side tip: take into consideration your parents’ blood types to see what influences you might have on your primary blood type. EX: an A blood type with parents who have A and O blood types might tolerate red meat better than someone with 2 A blood type parents, etc.
Pay attention to your protein sources and see if these fall true for you! Happy exploring!

Setting Boundariest
Setting boundaries: over a year ago, Jamie decided to quit drinking alcohol for overall health and well-being. When making this decision, he had to establish boundaries around his decision. Not drinking has shown him incredible insight into his health potential. If you also want to see YOUR health potential by reducing or eliminating alcohol, here are some tips for establishing and upholding boundaries of your own:
Be clear about your decision: 🤯🤯Clearly communicate to yourself and others that you have made the choice to quit drinking. This clarity helps reinforce your commitment.
Set firm limits: 💪🏼Decide on specific boundaries regarding alcohol, such as avoiding places or events where alcohol is present, declining offers of alcohol from others, and refraining from purchasing or keeping alcohol in your home.
Establish support systems: 💁🏼♂️💁🏼♂️Surround yourself with people who support your decision to quit drinking and who will respect your boundaries. This may include friends, family members, support groups, or a therapist.
Practice self-care: 🧘🏼♀️🧘🏼♀️Engage in activities and practices that promote your physical, mental, and emotional well-being, such as exercise, meditation, hobbies, and spending time with supportive loved ones.
Develop coping strategies: ✍🏼✍🏼Identify healthy ways to cope with cravings, stress, and other triggers that may tempt you to drink. This could include deep breathing exercises, journaling, calling a friend, or engaging in a favorite hobby.
Avoid high-risk situations: Be mindful of situations or environments that may increase the likelihood of relapse, such as social gatherings where alcohol is the focus or spending time with people who encourage drinking.
Be prepared to enforce your boundaries: Stand firm in your decision to abstain from alcohol, even if others pressure you to drink or if you encounter challenging situations. It's okay to remove yourself from situations that compromise your sobriety.
Seek professional help if needed: 🆘🆘If you're struggling to maintain your sobriety or establish boundaries around alcohol, consider seeking support from a therapist, counselor, or addiction specialist who can provide personalized guidance and assistance.
Remember that setting boundaries is an ongoing process, and it's normal to encounter challenges along the way. This is also a personal decision and is not a recommendation to anyone to live a certain way.
A little extra is next this Friday! See you then.
