My Biggest Mistake: Traveling to Martinique Unprepared and in Need of an International Charger
By: Jamie Tarrant
Arriving in Martinique, I eagerly met with the airline manager to discuss the tasks at hand, only to discover that the work had already been completed. My journey from San Diego to Martinique had been in vain. In my haste, I requested get right back on the plane to San Juan, but was met with the disappointing news that the Saab was fully booked. Stranded for two days, I found myself unexpectedly grounded in Martinique, forced to make the most of an unforeseen delay. However, my journey to the island turned into an unexpected adventure when I made one glaring mistake: not being prepared with an international charger.
As I arrived at the hotel in Martinique, I soon realized that my trusty charger wasn't compatible with the European outlets. Also, not being fluent in French, panic set in as my phone and computer's battery dwindled, and I needed both for work and communication.
My trip became a lesson in adaptability, reminding me that sometimes the best adventures arise from our biggest blunders. However, I'll never forget the anxiety of not having an international charger, a simple item that can make or break a traveler's experience in a foreign land.
My wife now always has us prepared with an accessory organizer that includes all necessities both international and domestic.

The Moon Palace-Cancun/Business and Pleasure-
By Jamie Tarrant
The Moon Palace Cancun is the ultimate destination for business retreats. With an expansive 266,000 sq ft of meeting space, it offers the perfect setting for productive gatherings. While fostering teamwork through exciting activities and Mayan jungle tours, the resort also provides the ideal environment for networking at swim-up bars and sealing deals during delightful dinners. At the Moon Palace, business and paradise blend seamlessly, creating an unforgettable experience where work meets leisure, ensuring your corporate retreat is truly exceptional. Elevate your business rendezvous at the Moon Palace Cancun and make lasting memories amid its stunning surroundings.
Moon Palace Conference Center
While the Moon is a great place for business retreats, it’s also our cherished home away from home. Our family has been drawn to its enchantment since 2012. Nestled approximately 10 minutes south of Cancun International Airport, this all-inclusive resort boasts a captivating blend of luxury and leisure. The Moon Palace is a sprawling oasis comprising three distinct lobbies: Sunrise, Nizuc, and the Grande, each with its unique charm, and it's all complemented by a stunning 27-hole golf course meticulously designed by Jack Nicklaus.
The Grande Water Park
Our typical day at the Moon begins with an invigorating experience at the Awe Spa in the Grande lobby, where the hydrotherapy journey takes center stage. This wellness ritual includes stops at the dry sauna, ice room, wet sauna, hot beds, and the bracing cold plunge. As we exit the spa, a refreshing smoothie awaits, setting the perfect tone for a day that unfolds beside one of the resort's 19 magnificent pools.
Dining at the Moon Palace is an adventure in itself, with a staggering array of 18 restaurants to choose from. Whether we're indulging in tacos, savoring fresh brick oven pizzas, or relishing the flavors of Asian cuisine, our taste buds are treated to an exciting culinary journey.
Sunrise at the Sunrise Lobby
Our kids revel in the endless entertainment options. With three dedicated kids' clubs, the Grande's water park offering the most extensive space, they have the time of their lives. From watching movies in a kids' theater to playing video games and even venturing out to feed the charming iguanas, the Moon Palace ensures our children are joyfully engaged. And for parents seeking a romantic evening, the kids' clubs stay open until 10 pm, providing the perfect opportunity for a date night.
The Grande Lobby Bar
However, what truly sets the Moon Palace apart is its people. The resort's dedicated employees consistently go above and beyond, ensuring that every stay becomes an indelible memory. Over the years, we've formed deep connections with some of the most remarkable individuals, and it often feels like we should be thanking them for welcoming us, rather than the other way around.
In essence, the Moon Palace Cancun is not just a destination; it's an enduring connection, a place where the heart finds solace and adventure in equal measure.
This is not a paid add or sponsorship. We genuinely love this place.

HEALTH ON THE GO
By: Ashley Williams
❤️🩹Health tip from Ashley, Nutritionist, Health Coach, Personal Trainer, Fitness Specialist.
When traveling, it’s often difficult to get a full night’s rest. When the 7-8 hr recommendation isn’t possible, the next best thing is striving for more quality sleep within the limited amount of hours. One way to increase REM and Deep Sleep is increasing our protein intake during the day.
Often when we are low on protein, our bodies will search for the protein in our muscles while we sleep, causing us to have restless sleep. So focusing on higher amounts of protein during the day, allows the body to rest more fully and not need to search for the protein, thus creating more opportunity for REM and Deep Sleep cycles.
Recommendation: aim for meals that have 30-60 grams of protein depending on how many meals you have during the day, 150-200 grams total for the day. That protein boost will sure to give you the Zzz’s you’re looking for to wake up more rested and prepared for your day.
