The move aims to enhance premium seating across domestic and short-haul international routes. American has switched 30 Boeing 737 Max 8 orders to the larger Max 10, pending FAA certification. The airline plans to retire 50-seat regional jets by the decade's end, focusing on larger regional jets like the E175. With this announcement, American's total aircraft orders reach 440, ensuring continued growth to meet air travel demand. Additionally, the airline will retrofit A319 and A320 aircraft to add more premium seats, projecting a 20% increase in premium seating by 2026.

Hawaiian Airlines Welcomes Its Inaugural Boeing 787 Dreamliner: Hawaiian Airlines has received its inaugural Boeing 787 Dreamliner, scheduled for debut on April 15. The official introduction took place on February 23, marking the addition of the 787-9 to the Hawaiian fleet. Initially, the aircraft will operate daily flights between Honolulu and San Francisco, with plans for expansion to Los Angeles and Phoenix in mid-May using the second Dreamliner. Hawaiian anticipates acquiring three of its ordered 12 Dreamliners by year-end, featuring a configuration of 34 lie-flat business-class seats and 266 main cabin seats, including 79 with extra legroom.
